Springbok Leather FAQs
Where does the springbok leather come from?
Our springbok leather is sourced from regulated conservation and population management programmes in South Africa. The springbok is not endangered — it’s actually one of the most abundant antelope species in Southern Africa. The hides are a by-product of sustainable wildlife management, and using them in our products ensures nothing goes to waste.
Is every springbok bag unique?
Yes. Springbok hide has a natural spotted pattern that varies from animal to animal. No two hides are identical, which means no two bags are identical. The pattern, colour, and texture will be slightly different on every piece — that’s part of what makes these bags so special and collectible.
How do I care for springbok leather?
Springbok leather is naturally durable and requires minimal care. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid getting the springbok panels excessively wet. For the full-grain leather sections of the bag, apply leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the natural colour of the springbok hide.
Can springbok bags be shipped internationally?
Yes. Springbok leather products are legal to export from South Africa and import into most countries. We ship worldwide via FedEx and DHL through our logistics partner JLog.
