Our kids’ collection proves that children’s bags can be both playful and built to last. Each animal-themed backpack is handcrafted in our Cape Town workshop from the same full-grain vegetable-tanned leather we use in our adult range — because kids deserve quality too.

Choose from a fox, bear, raccoon, ladybug, lion, reindeer, or cat design. Every backpack features comfortable adjustable straps sized for young shoulders, a secure zip closure, and enough room for school essentials, snacks, and a favourite toy. The leather is chemical-free and safe for children, tanned using traditional plant-based methods.

Kids' Leather Backpack FAQs

What age are the kids' backpacks designed for?

Our animal backpacks are designed for children aged approximately 3 to 10 years. The straps are adjustable to grow with your child. The size is right for nursery school, primary school, or weekend outings \u2014 big enough for a lunchbox, water bottle, and a change of clothes, but not so big that it overwhelms a small child.

Is the leather safe for children?

Absolutely. Our full-grain vegetable-tanned leather uses zero chrome and zero harmful chemicals in the tanning process. The vegetable tanning method uses only natural plant-based tannins, making it one of the safest leather production processes available. The leather is soft, non-toxic, and gentle against skin.

Which animal designs do you have?

We currently offer seven animal-themed backpacks: Fox, Bear, Raccoon, Ladybug, Lion, Reindeer, and Cat. Each design is crafted from full-grain leather with hand-cut details that give each animal its character. We also have a Green Fox variation. Can I personalise a kids' backpack?

We don\u2019t currently offer personalisation on our standard range, but we do take custom orders for bulk quantities (10+) which can include modifications.
